On monday we are leaving Westport and went to lake Mahinapua. In lake mahinapua is a big party in the evening. For this party we have to wear a costum. The costum has to begin with the first letter of your name. My name start with a L and that makes it very difficult. Only one shop was open for buying a costum, but this shop has almost everything with christmas. So i deciced to be a little rudolf.

Before we start the party, we had watcht the sundown on the beach. The sun goes very fast down and this makes it difficult to make good picuters of it. After the sundown we went to the party. The music om the party was too loud, so went early to bed. The next morning we had a very late breakfast with a lot of pancakes. It was so nice breakfast and after this we went to Franz Josef.

We arrived in the afternoon and make a reservation for a helicopter flight for friday. The rest of the first day in Franz josef we spending time to see the town. On wensdag we had maked a jade necklace. The jade I maked was a silverfern. It took me three hours to make it. Because it is still raining since or arrive, we went to the wildlife in Franz Josef to see Kiwis on Thursday. We saw three kiwis yonger than 20 days and 5 kiwi from 6 months till 1 year. After saw the kiwis we had wast or cloths and go chilling in the hostel.

On friday we went to the company for the helicopter flight with walk, but it was cancelled because to combination of bad weather, ice conditions and the crash two weeks ago. We decided to walk in the town. In town we found more companys that flighting, so we books a flight for 20 minutes in the morning. It was so nice to flight in een helicopter and saw the gletsjer from above. Also you can stand voor ten minutes on the snow and ice of the mountains. I would done this again when it was sunshine and you want to see the gletsjes. The walk is when it have raining for a long time nog so safe anymore. The rest of the day we are chilling in the hot pools.
